Many of us watch the popular television show CSI and its spinoffs. By methodically using science and technology, the CSI team investigates and establishes facts and/or evidence that can be used in a court of law. Forensic psychiatry is similar but the examination is not of a crime scene but of the mind.
Dr. Vivian Chern Shnaidman, local resident and board-certified forensic psychiatrist, is coming to Mary Jacobs Library on Thursday, December 11 at 7:30 pm to give us a crash course in forensic psychiatry. Dr. Shnaidman is the author of Homicidal Intent, a 2001 thriller guaranteed to keep you glued to the edge of your seat. She works with psychopaths, sex offenders, DYFS, immigration cases, and the courts and will provide us with an insider’s view to this fascinating field of medicine.
Please pre-register by calling 609-924-7073 ext 4 or by sending email to cwillis@sclsnj.org .
